About us

This year’s Open Studios Falkirk will take place from 5th to 13th September 2026, with an opening event on the evening of 4th September at Studio 164 Falkirk.

Founded in 2025, Open Studios Falkirk is a community-driven initiative organised by a dedicated collective of local artists, craftspeople and participating venues. During this multi-day event, artists and makers open their workspaces to the public so they can view their work, discuss techniques, watch live demos and buy their work directly.

Spanning home studios, professional studios and creative venues, this annual event offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look into local people’s creative work.

By opening their doors, these local creatives not only showcase their skills and work, but also aim to strengthen Falkirk’s arts, crafts and cultural scene and heritage.

Registration to take part in the 2026 event is now open! So if you’re a visual artist, graphic designer, architect, craftsperson, sculptor, DJ or musician – or indeed in any other creative field – we’d love to you to join us. If you don’t have a studio, but you’d like to take part, get in touch and we’ll find a way to help you do so. The registration deadline for this year’s event is 30 June 2026.

This year’s event will kick off with an opening night at Studio 164 Falkirk on Friday, 4 September, featuring an exhibition of the participants’ works, a drinks’ reception, and a DJ set by Lexie May.

Check out the Directory of everyone taking part, which contains photos and information about their work, studio opening times and more. We will update it as more people register to take part.

The lead organisers of the 2026 event are Rhona Duffy and Nikki Monaghan – don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.
