About Catherine King

Catherine King is a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone, Dundee, in drawing and painting. She has exhibited widely and had work shown at the Royal Scottish Academy, Society of Scottish Artists, Visual Arts Scotland, Paisley Art Institute, and The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts. Her work is held in several public and private collections. Catherine’s practice is inspired by a connection with place, family and the passage of time. Working from life, both in the studio and plein air, the subject matter can vary, but drawing is at the heart of her practice. Experienced across numerous printmaking and painting processes, she has taught in further and higher education throughout her career. Catherine is an artist member of the Glasgow Art Club, Paisley Art Institute and Society of Scottish Artists.
