About Katie Morrow

Katie Morrow is a furniture artist. Before that, she was an animal artist, so you will find some prints for sale alongside her furniture. She takes old and a few select modern pieces of furniture and gives them a new look and life. Katie loves combining her art with the skills she learned as an apprentice for her father, who makes furniture. Within the showroom, you will find finished pieces as well as furniture she is working on. Also on display within the shop is her mother’s textile art and small decorative boxes her father made. She also offers space for the ladies who run workshops with her to display and sell their work. Pyrography, willow weaving, silversmithing, lino cutting, birdbox making and silk painting plus a couple of others…

Visit Katie in her studio

During Open Studios, you can visit Katie’s workshop, which is in the same building as the showroom, and you will be able to see some of the processes and equipment she uses to get the finished article. From her workbench to her Festool sander and extractor, to the paints and varnishes that she uses every day. On 13th September (10.30-1.30pm), a willow weaving workshop will take place, where you could join to make a small wooden-based basket.
