About Ken Elliott
Kens work can be seen in the Stirling Smith Museum gardens, and has been exhibited at Stirling University, Tolbooth, and other venues around the City.
He enjoys combining his established engineering and developing artistic skills to create one-of-a-kind pieces.
Ken Elliot’s work is currently focused on exploring ways to express both the elegant forms in the natural world, local history, and more abstract concepts, using only a minimal set of curved three-dimensional shapes, hand-formed in aluminium strips using simple tools. He seeks to convey the feelings of wonder in nature: dolphins leaping on a wave, a galloping horse. And of history, through the interpretation of a historic sword, the trauma of a wartime Spitfire crash, and the enigmatic mystery of Pictish symbols.
