About Nici Martin / The Thread Counter
Nici Martin is a dress/costume maker, specialising in bespoke garments, and she has a small shop/workshop where she tutors sewing and other crafts. She believes these crafts have a positive impact on our mental health and are a meaningful route to self-expression. Over the last couple of years, she has started a small, unique collection of upcycled denim and tweed accessories. There is a selection of natural and recycled yarns as well as basic sewing, knitting and crochet accessories available to purchase in the shop/workshop.

Visit Nici in her workshop
During Open Studios, you can visit Nici in her workshop. Classes and workshops are running most of the time. Nici will be working on a garment or an accessory and people can see how things come together. Nici is always happy to answer questions or give demonstrations.
