About Rhona Duffy

Rhona Duffy is a visual artist and craftsperson based in Falkirk, Central Scotland. Rhona enjoys community work and has been commissioned to create mosaic work for the gardens of the Bo’ness NHS Community Hospital and the Sexual Assault Response Coordination Service’s unit at NHS Forth Valley. She has completed numerous other commissions over the years, often to mark a special occasion or memory. Rhona has an arts degree in English and philosophy, and a master’s degree in journalism, and a 30-year career in communications and marketing management. She is passionate about showcasing the traditional crafts of mosaic and glass, and is the founding editor of the international magazine Mosaic & Glass. In addition, she enjoys sharing her skills and passions with others, and has taught regularly at the Wider Access to School Project in Denny – a charity providing subsidised higher education to adult learners in the local community for several years. She is also the founder of Studio 164 Falkirk, where she teaches mosaic and glass, and she welcomes visiting tutors to teach too. Rhona enjoys doing marketing and communications freelance work, and is the voluntary co-lead event manager of Open Studios Falkirk 2026 with Nikki Monaghan.
